We’re thrilled to welcome Ixta Belfrage—one of the most exciting talents on the food scene—for a Brazilian Supper Club at the Riverford Field Kitchen.
Ixta’s cooking is a bold, joyful celebration of flavour, shaped by the three countries closest to her heart: Brazil, Italy, and Mexico. From her mother’s Brazilian heritage, her childhood years in Italy, and summers spent visiting her grandfather in Mexico, Ixta has developed a unique culinary style that blends cultures, ingredients, and storytelling into unforgettable dishes.
After five years in the Ottolenghi Test Kitchen and co-authoring the worldwide bestseller Ottolenghi Flavour, Ixta has gone on to carve her own path with her highly anticipated new book, Fusão (fusion, in Portuguese). In it, she reimagines Brazilian food with flair, offering vibrant takes on traditional dishes while keeping them approachable for the modern kitchen.
Every plate is rooted in her signature style: inventive, flavour-packed, and made to share. With personal stories, stunning photography from Brazil, and clever substitutions for hard-to-find ingredients, Ixta’s food is designed to inspire curiosity and joy at the table.
