Nestled in the heart of Riverford’s Devon farm, we work with the freshest, most flavoursome organic ingredients, inspired every day by the bounty from the fields around. Grass-reared meat and sustainable fish are on the menu but seasonal organic veg is the star of every plate.

The eating experience

Eating in The Field Kitchen is something to remember. We think great food tastes even better when you enjoy it with other people, so most of our guests will share tables with fellow diners. Uniquely, there is just one sitting and the whole restaurant is served together at the same time, with generous platters of food to pass around and share.

We only cook for the amount of people that are coming, so advanced booking really is essential.

The menu

For lunch we start things off with seasonal salads & vegetable dishes, followed by a main meat dish with inspiring vegetable sides.  Portions are generous and there’ll be plenty to go round. When it comes to pudding, we'll invite you up to the kitchen to choose from a wickedly tempting selection.

Supper is a slightly more lavish affair, with even more dishes to share around and with an inviting wine list to complement the menu.

Service is leisurely and relaxed, so expect to spend around 2.5 hours enjoying your meal with us

Lunch (3 courses)

£23.50 per person
£11.75 for children aged 3-12 years

Mon to Sat: Arrive 12.30 for 1.00pm

Sunday: Arrive at 12.00 for 12.30pm or 3.30 for 4.00pm

Supper (3 courses)

£27.50 per person
£13.75 for children aged 3-12 years

Arrive 7pm for 7.30pm
Infants under 3yrs are free of charge.
