Fresh from our farm to your fork
At the Riverford Field Kitchen, we are dedicated to growing and cooking seasonal, organic food with vegetables and herbs picked daily from our farm and field kitchen garden just metres from the restaurant. Our chefs work with only the freshest ingredients which means our menu changes daily depending on what is in abundance in the fields around us. Grass-reared meat and sustainable fish are on the menu but seasonal, organic veg is the star of every plate.
The eating experience
Eating in The Field Kitchen is something to remember. We think great food tastes even better when you enjoy it with other people, so most of our guests will share tables with fellow diners. Uniquely, there is just one sitting and the whole restaurant is served together at the same time, with generous platters of food to pass around and share.
We only cook for the amount of people that are coming, so advanced booking really is essential.
We do things differently at The Riverford Field Kitchen. There's no starters and no mains. We bring dishes to your table in one long flow - a set menu of six-eight dishes celebrating the seasonal produce in our surrounding fields and garden. Combinations of hot and cold seasonal salads, inspiring veg dishes and grass reared meat or sustainable fish.
Portions are generous and there’ll be plenty to go round. When it comes to pudding, we'll invite you up to the kitchen to choose from a wickedly tempting selection.

Mon to Sat: Arrive 12.30 for 1.00pm
Sunday: Arrive at 12.00 for 12.30pm or 3.30 for 4.00pm
Supper (3 courses)
£27.50 per person
£13.75 for children aged 3-12 years
Arrive 7pm for 7.30pm
Infants under 3yrs are free of charge.
