We are thrilled to welcome back celebrity chef, food writer, and broadcaster Romy Gill MBE at The Riverford Field Kitchen on Wednesday 26th February. Renowned as one of the UK’s finest Indian chefs, Romy will be taking over the kitchen for an unforgettable evening of authentic Indian cuisine, celebrating the diverse culinary traditions of Bengal and Punjab.
A Journey Through India’s Rich Flavours
During this special evening, you’ll enjoy relaxed and informal chat with Romy, where she will share stories from her childhood in West Bengal and her culinary journey. As you indulge in a fabulous feast of dishes from her latest book, Romy Gill’s India, Romy will guide you through the menu with fascinating anecdotes about the ingredients and techniques that define her cooking.
Romy Gill’s India, offers an intimate look at the beloved family recipes that shaped her cooking. From the iconic Butter Chicken to the comforting simplicity of a Masala Omelette, Romy’s recipes bring the authentic flavours of India into your kitchen with ease.
The menu is to be confirmed, but example dishes from the book include Beetroot Chaap, Paneer Pakoras with mint and coriander chutney, and Aubergine & Potato Curry. (The menu will be vegetarian but vegan alternatives also available. Please note, we are unable to accommodate other dietary preferences.)
This exclusive event promises a relaxed evening of convivial dining and conversation, where Romy will guide you through the menu with anecdotes and stories. Romy will be available to sign copies of her beautiful cookbook, which will be available for purchase on the night. You’ll also have the chance to ask Romy questions and have your book personalised during the signing.
