Dining Reservations

The Riverford Field Kitchen is a small rural restaurant, with no passing trade, which relies upon bookings being honoured and guests giving reasonable notice of any changes to reservations.

We kindly request that diners give a minimum of 24 hours notification of cancellation or of a reduction in guest numbers.

Regrettably, due to the ever-increasing number of guests that book a table at The Riverford Field Kitchen, and simply do not turn up on the day, all reservations are required to provide credit or debit card details to secure a table.

When you provide card details, it is a security measure to secure your booking. No money is taken and no payment has been made towards your visit to the Field Kitchen. Card details are stored in a secure third party platform which Riverford Co-Owners have no access to.

Any bookings which ‘no show’ for a service, cancel or reduce their party numbers with less than 24 hours notice will be charged £10 per ‘absent’ guest to cover the administration & food costs associated to their booking.

Charges are made via the third party secure storage system using the card details provided at the time of booking.

By making a reservation at The Riverford Field Kitchen you agree to our reservation and cancellation terms. We wish to thank you for your understanding and co-operation and look forward to welcoming you to The Field Kitchen.

Workshops/Courses/Events with prepayment

Bookings and preparations for most workshops and events at The Riverford Field Kitchen are made months in advance. It is therefore difficult for us to resell any places with short notice of the start of the event.

If you want to cancel your booking less than 3 weeks before the event, we will relist your place for resale to other customers. If we are unable to resell your place in the time remaining, you will forfeit any payment you have made.

Note: You can transfer or sell the booking to another person to attend the same event in your place if you notify us.

If we receive 3 weeks notice or more, we will refund the cost minus the Eventbrite administration fees. If a guest fails to attend for any reason, they would not be entitled to a refund or a re-booking of another event. Please note that reservations bought as gifts carry the same cancellation policy.

If we need to cancel an event:

The Riverford Field Kitchen is entitled to cancel any event at any time and you will be given the option of a transfer to another course of the same value or a full refund.  We will not be liable for any other costs you have incurred such as transport or accommodation.

Filming

There is a chance that filming/photography could take place throughout your event, please let us know if you would rather not be involved.

Gift Vouchers

All vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of purchase.  Please note that vouchers are non-refundable.

Please bring the voucher along with you, or be able to show us the email on your phone as we will need the voucher reference.

To redeem off an event please email fieldkitchen@riverford.co.uk with the details of the workshop, dining event or course, a phone number and voucher reference and we will get in contact to book you on.  Alternatively, please call 01803 227391.

Gift Vouchers can only be used in a single transaction; and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Gift Vouchers may be used for goods or services of a higher value, with payment made for the difference.

Gift cards cannot be used to purchase any goods from the Riverford website.
