Need somewhere to stay?

Make the most of your visit to Devon by staying with Sawday's for an extra special experience.

If you can, it is definitely worth staying an extra day or two to explore Devon. Much of the area surrounding us, is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, stretching as far as the edges of Dartmoor National Park and and featuring some of the most beautiful stretches of coastline.

We've partnered with Sawday’s, who have spent over 30 years personally inspecting characterful, independent places to stay. They look for hotels, B&Bs, inns and self-catering places in the UK and Europe that are run with passion and creativity by people who care about their communities and the environment. They accept less than half of places that apply, visiting each one they work with to make sure you'll love it when you go.

There are some amazing ones near the Riverford farm, and by booking with Sawday's, you are supporting a fellow employee owned and B Corp business. Choose from a Victorian estate cottage, a windmill with views of Dartmoor, a converted cider barn or a host of others.

We've picked a few of our favourite properties for you below.

Pearse's Cottage

Pearse's Cottage is located in Ashprington, a gem of a Devon village and a springboard for the South Hams. It's perfect for two: with cream tea on arrival, a pretty patio garden, logs for the wood-burner (on the house) & fine concerts at Dartington Hall.

North Barn, Whitestone Farm

Glass-and-timber doors bathe you with light, gaze at big skies and the river Dart lapping. Sublime year round, it's one of our favourites.  At this self-catering gem, it seems as though the river laps at the edge of your bed.

Bulleigh Barton Manor

Elegant bedrooms, wallpaper with wild boars trotting between trees, squishy sofas by a big wood-burner... Great hosts and good food too!  At this B&B, tea and scones will be waiting. Find long, leafy views to wake up to, a pool for lazy summer days, ponds and a big colourful garden with a summerhouse.
