Wild Garlic Walk, Demo & Lunch with Guy Singh-Watson
Join founder Guy Singh-Watson to harvest, cook and feast on our glorious wild garlic crop, grown in the woodland around our Devon farm.
During early spring and through to the end of May, the woodlands around Wash Farm feature a deep cover of velvet green wild garlic. Our vegetable box customers get to enjoy this seasonal treat as a bonus in their spring veg boxes.

Time: 9am to 3pm
This year for the first time, we are hosting an event in The Riverford Field Kitchen where Guy will show you to our favourite woodland foraging spot, to pick a bag of your own wild garlic.
Once bags are full, guests will then head back to The Riverford Field Kitchen where head chef Lewis Glanvill will talk you through some of his favourite wild garlic recipes which will include tips on how you can preserve this unique seasonal flavour to enjoy all year long.
No visit to The Riverford Field Kitchen would be complete without seasonal organic veg-packed lunch. Guests will finish off their day with a lunch featuring even more of our favourite wild garlic recipes.
9am - meet at The Riverford Field Kitchen for a hot drink and a sweet treat. You will then walk for around 30 minutes to our secret wild garlic spot.
10am - Guy will take you on a walk through the glorious woodland around the farm, and will share his knowledge on this seasonal wild crop.
11am - back to the restaurant where head chef Lewis Glanvill will demo a number of wild garlic recipes for you to make at home.
12.30pm - join other guests for a wild garlic themed lunch.
3pm - event close.
Please note that guests will need to suitable footwear and wet weather gear in case the heavens open. As you will be climbing stiles and walking across muddy fields, guests will need to be reasonably mobile.
