Romy Gill’s Indian Vegan Feast

Romy Gill's Indian Vegan Feast

We are delighted that Romy Gill will be joining us to host an Indian vegan feast featuring recipes from her book, Zaika.

Zaika is Romy Gill’s first book, and it is a celebration of the very best of Indian vegan cooking. The book features over 100 innovative and exciting curries, side dishes and drinks.

It’s a journey into the zaika or ‘flavours’ of Indian cooking that brings a renewed spiced excitement to plant-based food. In the words of Allan Jenkins, Editor of Observer Food Monthly; “Romy Gill is not just one of the UK’s finest Indian cooks, or even one of the best female chefs. She is simply one of our most gifted cooks & teachers.”

Romy will be bringing her vibrant and much celebrated approach to Indian cooking to The Riverford Field Kitchen and will be creating a menu featuring her favourite recipes from her book. Romy will kick off the evening by introducing the menu and will share some of her experiences behind creating the book. She will then be on hand throughout the event to eat with and meet our gathered guests, as well as doing a book signing towards the end.
