Practical Veg Masterclass
Join us at The Riverford Field Kitchen and learn how to turn some humble vegetables into an inspiring feast.
Our chefs are renowned for taking ordinary vegetables and creating extraordinary dishes, and now it's your turn to be guided how to do it yourself. Join us on this Practical Veg Masterclass, and learn new skills such as how to make celeriac and cauliflower exciting, and how to avoid being intimidated by more unusual veg.
Date: Wednesday, 15th January 2020
Times: 10am to 3pm
You’ll get stuck in learning lots of essential skills and new, inspirational things to do ingredients such as carrots, cauliflower & calabrese broccoli. It will be very relaxed, people of all abilities are welcome, and we keep the classes small to give plenty of time for questions and individual guidance. The day also includes a three course light organic Riverford Field Kitchen lunch.
Below is an indication of the content for the day. Final running order may change depending on what veg and dishes you will be producing.
10am - Welcome to The Riverford Field Kitchen
You’ll be welcomed with a hot drink coffee and a home-baked treat, and your course tutor will outline the plan for the day.
10.30am - First practical demo
Your course tutor will kick off the day with a demo session.
11am - Hands-on session
Time to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in to the first hands-on session.
12.30pm - Lunch
Time to take a break and enjoy a three course lunch.
1.30pm - Final practical & demo session
You'll finish the day with a final hands-on practical and then a final demo session.
3pm - Event close
