Late Summer Blooms & Dried Flower Workshop
We are always incredibly proud of our head gardener Penny Hemming's floral creations which decorate The Field Kitchen restaurant. It's the thing our guests comment on most often, second only to the food. Which is why we are delighted to say that we have persuaded Penny to share her wealth of knowledge in this hands-on practical floral workshop, where guests will create one fresh flower arrangement and one dried floral creation to take home with them at the end of the day.
Guests will have the chance to learn some handy tips and tricks to help create stunning fresh flower arrangements using flowers gathered from The Riverford Field Kitchen garden and hedgerows; as well as some additional varieties grown within a five mile radius of the farm. You'll also have the opportunity to learn about the varieties and techniques for working with dried flowers; before getting hands-on to create a dried flower decorative piece to take home.
See below for the outline itinerary.
- 9.30am - Welcome to Riverford Field Kitchen
Arrive at The Riverford Field Kitchen for refreshments. Course tutor and head gardener Penny Hemming will outline the plan for the day.
