Dinner & Acoustic Performance by Wildwood Kin
Join us at The Riverford Field Kitchen for dinner and a one-off acoustic performance in the Riverford yurt by Wildwood Kin.
Come along to The Riverford Field Kitchen for an evening of music and veg-centric feasting, with indie Americana trio Wildwood Kin. On arrival, you’ll be shown to our yurt to enjoy a stripped back, intimate, acoustic performance from this hugely popular Devon-based trio.
Of course, no visit would be complete without an organic, vegetarian feast, celebrating the finest seasonal ingredients from our farm and kitchen garden. After the performance, guests will head to The Riverford Field Kitchen restaurant for dinner. We think great food tastes even better when you enjoy it with other people, so guests share tables with fellow diners. There is one sitting, and the whole restaurant is served together at the same time, with generous platters of food to pass around and share.
Date: Thursday 12th September 2019
Time: 6.30pm arrival, 7pm performance, dinner from 7.30pm
Price: £40 per person including dinner
Wildwood Kin – Beth and Emillie Key, and their cousin Meghan Loney – are passionate about using their influence to encourage others to do their bit to bring life back to our planet. Long-standing Riverford fans, they’ve chosen The Riverford Field Kitchen to pre-launch their album because they believe that buying local and organic produce really makes a difference.
Wildwood Kin are a family trio whose sound is characterised by extraordinary harmonies. Their brilliant debut album, while influenced by their early folk leanings, delved deeply into other genres, featuring both electric and acoustic instruments, and boasted inventive sonics and spectral atmospherics alongside their hypnotic three-part harmonies. Guitarist Emillie Key, her bouzouki/keyboard-playing sister Beth and their drumming cousin Meghan Loney, all sing, swapping leads and joining forces on harmonies.
